Meeting Ronman

When I found out that Ronman lived just a few miles from my parents, I knew that I would have to meet him while in Tennessee. Unfortunately my family kept me so busy that I wasn't sure if I would be able to. Ronman was sweet enough, or crazy enough, to come to my parents house so that we would be able to at least hang out for a little bit. I thought that was really cool, because honestly, I don't know that I would be comfortable going to some strange house (and my family is very strange) to meet somebody that I didn't even know.

Ronman was exactly how I thought he would be. He is just an awesome guy, and had no problem hanging out with me and my family just shooting the bull. I did feel kind of bad, because my family acted like they haven't had company in years. Not in a bad way, but I think my dad told about a hundred stories about this and that, and Ronman was polite enough to listen to them.

And then my crazy niece (who I love more than life) went into her high school drama queen mode. Actually I think she might have a little crush on Ron, but don't tell her I said so. :)

All in all it was really great to meet one of my favorite bloggers, even if the visit was too short. Ronman is definitely a genuine guy and somebody who I feel fortunate to now call a friend. I will be keeping in touch and look forward to seeing him next time I am in Tennessee, and I will make sure that we get to go on a ride next time. I wish I would have taken more pictures, I'm kicking myself for that now, but next time.

Ronman, thank you so much for coming to see me. It was such a pleasure to meet a true gentleman as yourself.

And just a side note... if there are any single women out there looking for a decent guy, I would have to say that Ronman would be quite the catch! (Sorry Ron, just had to say it)

Cool! I think it's real cool to meet someone after you think you've already met them. Huh? I think you know what I mean.

I get the impression that Ronman always puts his best gentleman's foot forward! I'm sure you and your family enjoyed meeting him, especially your niece. LOL! Something tells me Ronman is probably a pretty good story teller, and that usually makes for a nice visit.

Thanks for sharing your nice day!

I love this! I hope to meet you too at Hollister...YES! I am going. I think I am riding my Sporty just because she's little and easy to get around there on. I am meeting up with some friends from OC in Santa Cruz and riding to Hollister. You need to e-mail me and we can exchange numbers if you are going to be there... WE NEED TO MEET UP! I always thought it would be a great ride once a year for us riding bloggers to meet somewhere in between for a few days and just ride, eat and gab! What fun!

Ronman- Nothing but the truth!

Lady R- I know what you mean. :) We did enjoy meeting him so much. But as far as his storytelling...I don't think he had much of an opportunity with my dad talking so much.

KT- That is so funny, because Dave and I were trying to figure out where the exact halfway point is from here to Mass. We thought it would be cool to start a blogger rally there so everyone could meet. :) I was going to email you, but the only one I see is on "I don't wear cloaks" is that an okay email to send it to? Dave and I should be there all day Friday and Saturday. We are definatley looking forward to meeting you!

Very cool that you got to meet Ronman. He seems like a cool guy. I totally relate to what lady ridesalot is saying. I think I kinda know all of you and think of you as friends! Hopefully someday we can all meet and hang out. I think that would be awesome! I'm sure we'd all be rolling on the floor once Ronman, Dave, D - Day, Joker, and Mr. Motorcycle got to telling stories. I have a feeling my sides would hurt.

Your family sounds a lot like mine! It must have been great to meet Ronman. I think a blogger rally is definitely needed!

I for one can't wait to tip a shot of Mr. John Daniels with Ronman.

I'm also with all of you about eventually getting together. I can't go to Sturgis this year due to financial reasons, and because nobody else from Blackstone is going either. We have all decided to make 2009 the year Blackstone hits Sturgis in force, and I plan to be there on my brand new bike.

Those of you who can do it, start making plans now. That year will go by quicker than I can unhook a bra!

Well Dave and I had hoped for Sturgis this year, but it's not gonna happen...but Joker we will definately start putting away for 09. Maybe I'll actually be on my own bike by then. ;)
