True about the math. I teach Algebra and trigonometry, and there are things I don't get about 4th grade math. Why can't they just make the kids memorize their multiplication tables and drill them until they aren't afraid of fractions anymore? (It would make my job a hell of a lot easier!)
Amen on the math! I can't help Vicki with her 5th grade math, either! And I have two math classes myself this summer...boy am I in trouble! :)
If 62 is true then 75 has to be true.
Why? Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere.
I hope you do get to go to Sturgis one day. Hell, I hope I get to Sturgis one day.
#60--Come out and I'll get one with you.
#68--Will come in time, but know that I consider you and Riley family already.
#54--Now that's just freakin' weird!
Oh, I think your cool...and I really mean it!
My sister used to sell Mary Kay too. 5 IS a lot of kids!! I'm dreading when Alexis starts school because I know I probably won't be able to help her with her homework.
Mrs. RC & Ann- Yeah, it sucks. And when I do try to help him he's like, "Well, that isn't how the teacher showed us." Uggghhhh
AZ H.D.- So true! And I'm sure someday we'll get to Sturgis, I just hope it's someday soon. :)
Masterchief- Thanks, you seriously don't know how much that means to me. And I think you're cool too!
Connie- I went to the Mary Kay convention in Dallas, and there were all these really succesful women there and I thought I was going to be rolling in the dough, but I'm just not good at selling stuff. People say no, and I'm like, okay. The only thing I can say about Alexis starting school is...thank goodness for the internet. :)
I love these posts ... I struggled with coming up with 20 things ...
I have 2 tattoos ... I got my 1st when I was almost 50 with my daughter so no one in the family could give her shit about her tattoo. Got the 2nd in Sturgis on the Buffalo Chip Camp ground in a converted School bus. Hah I like #71 - I cant do math unless it has $$ signs.
I Like # 57. It shows substance....!!!!
Great blog...keep up the good work..you're one hell of a lady and a rider
I like #57 also. Still bitter?
Wow, never let it be said that some women can't hold a grudge.
Glad my kids are older. My homework days are done.
Harley Rider- That's so cool that you got a tattoo with your daughter. My dad doesn't like mine, he thinks women shouldn't have them, but it's ok that my younger brother has more tattoos than I can count.
Baron- Thank you very much for the kind words!
Dean- I can't help it! Every time I hear the word prom I get angry. I know I need to let it go, but I just can't.
I can't visualize missing Sturgis #69. All that you wish would happen actually will.
Dave- :) LYVM!
Great! I wish I had a video of my first ride to laugh at. 56 - I didn't get stood up, just didn't have a date. I'm not bitter though as I heard from everyone who went that it sucked. 65 - If you really loved it, then you should absolutely do it. You have to come to Sturgis with Dave so we can all party together - failure is not an option!
Kid's math? Yeah, I feel like a dope. I don't know why the hell they changed it, seems to me the way us old farts learned was simpler. The rate they're going kids will be doing stuff by 11th grade that the folks over at NASA won't understand.
Didn't we all have a fake ID? I actually had two, but I'll save the details for my list!
Word Ver: "handly"
Are they trying to tell me something?
Joker- Well, I just got a new (kindof) job, so things should start looking better as far as us making it to Sturgis. :) Keeping my fingers crossed!
