B.B.'s Bike Garage

My engine guards finally came in. (One side note, it really bothers me that they are called engine "guards" plural when it's only one piece.)

So any way, my engine guard(s) came in and Dave told me he wanted me to put them on myself. It's not that he's a total loser jerk, it's just that he thinks it would be good for me to do as much as I can myself when it comes to my bike. I agree, I think that's the best way to learn.

Just as I was getting everything that I needed together, a thought occurred to me. Willy D, our prospect needed to do something to prove to me that he was worthy.

I immediately grabbed the phone. "Willy D." I said. "Get your ass over here and put my guard(s) on. He was over here before I could even open my beer. Good boy! The prospect did a good job in a timely manner. (With a little bit of my assistance.)

But then.......

I think he did that on purpose.

After giving him a good piece of my mind, I realized that this was at least a good opportunity to see if the engine guard(s) worked. It was also a good time to practice picking the bike up myself.

I did it mostly by myself, with just a little support from Willy D. It wasn't too bad, but I was thinking once again that I'm glad I didn't get a bigger bike.
I was a little disappointed about one thing. There's a sticker on my guard(s) that basically says they won't help in a collision with another vehicle. WTF? I thought it was a force field!

LOL on the force field!

It's amazing what an engine guard does for the look of a Sportster. I have one on mine. So far so good on not having to test it out.

How the hell did your bike fall over?? WTF!! Not that I don't think it's a good idea for you to be able to pick her up, but scratching her all up in the process kinda stinks! Don't do that anymore!

"Hey, Prospect! Get your ass over here and install my engine guard!" I love it!

Prospect dropped the bike?
Oh boy that's not good.
gonna have to think up something extra special for him to do. lol

The "Prospect" WAS punished. His wife was called, advised of the situation, told he was on his way home, adn to give him a good spanking !

I LOVE how you immediately called the prospect! LOL!

I'm thinking I might want an engine guard on my bike, too. I like the look of them. We'll see. I have to discuss that with my designer, Caveman.

And it bothers me that it's called engine guards when it's only one piece, too. Again, I think we're related somehow.

Willy D...that doesn't sound like punishment to me! ;)

I loved the "force field" line too. Funny b.b.! I think engine guards sounds better than crash bars!

Spanking! Was this about rewards or punishment?

Joker- I do like the way the guard looks on my bike, I thought it might look too bulky, but it looks nice. Don't worry, my pretty little girl didn't get scratched, we had towels down. :)

Big D.- Yeah, we'll think of something for him to do, as long as it doesn't involve him touching my bike again. LOL

Willy D.- I told her to kick your ass, not spank you!

Ann- I really didn't think that I'd like the look of the guard but it looks pretty cool. I'm glad someone agrees with me about the name, I thought I was crazy, well....LOL

Lady R.- I used to call it a crash bar, but then I was quickly corrected by none other than Willy D.

LOL! I love that pict of you bitching Willy D out.

Just a note: Willy D and I laid towels down and carefully put the bike on it's side. 1) to see what the "engine guards" would protect. 2) To show B.B. how to lift the bike properly if she ever dumps it again. She did good! Now she knows she can get it up herself. ;)

Thanks to Willy D for letting us cap on his ass for a few days and have a few good laughs at his expense.

How was the spank'in? I was wondering what you were grinning so big about the following day!

Can I have a spanking if I kick your bike over!?!?!?

B.B. said...

Was there ever any doubt that I could get it up?

About the spanking...are you talking to me or Willy?

FLHX_Dave said...

Funny. Distinction is; If I meant Willy D I would have asked for ass whooping, not a spanking B.B.

LOL! You guys kill me! Loved that you called the prospect to "get your ass over here"!

B.B. & Ann-
You're worried about singular vs plural?!? I didn't realize that there were people out there more anal-retentive than I was?!

Ann said...

Dean: Singular vs. Plural drives me nutty! Before I was back in school it was bad, now it's monumental!

Yes, I'm a bit anal-retentive in the English department! But I'm cute! :)

I've tried to let go of some of my anal-retentiveness, but it's so out of control, I just gave up. ;)

Boy, he really laid that bike down! You did great picking it up. I haven't been able to do that yet, but don't practice much either. Your bike is so pretty. Unfortunately the engine guards don't protect you from other idiot drivers.

Becky- Yeah, but something's telling me your bike is a lot heavier than mine. :)

I love how you called the prospect!
I've always called it an engine guard, not guards.

Your bike only tipped over 'cause you installed an engine guard. You jinxed it. It's like one of those damned spirit bells. Someone buys one for you and they jinx you. You are bound to lay her down after that!
