Glass Houses

You stand on the steps of your glass house

you throw rocks at me as I walk by

you've never stopped me

to ask why I've done the things I have

you are too busy judging me

and finding your rocks to throw

what you don't know is that I can see inside your house

I also know the things that you have done

what you don't understand

is that I'm too busy living my life to condemn you for yours

I make mistakes, as you do as well

but while you are wasting your time finding and throwing rocks

I am trying to live my life the best I can

you can keep throwing your rocks, and I will do my best

to dodge them as I walk by, and to forgive you for your ignorance

This was inside you. Very thoughtful, wise and true.

You are the soul sister.

Very, very true.

My sister from another mother...you do rock. People who throw rocks should be very careful! :)

And what is with all the poems, lately from everyone? :)

Wow B.B., that is an amazing poem!!!

I just had a rock throwing experience the other day as I was waiting for Dan to come back to the bike. This couple in a Lexus walked the other direction so they wouldn't have to walk by me and when I said hello they both looked away. Amazing to me how people judge others when they don't even know them. Makes me sick!

Keep writing your poems...they are so awesome! Once you have enough you should publish them on your own!

Thanks all for the kind words. I needed to vent and I was inspired by Ann and Dean. :)

You know--all this time and still sticks and stones hurt and so do the words. But I'll dodge as best as I can. Need a faster motorcycle.
