First I calmly, and sweetly explained the situation, she basically said, "What are you a moron, don't you monitor your account?" (I'm paraphrasing.)
Next, I explained the situation again, this time more angry than calm. She said, "Well, it isn't the bank's error. There isn't anything I can do." (Not paraphrasing.)
I asked her exactly how much I needed to make my account at a zero balance and then I would like to close my account, thank you very much!
She told me that she wanted to talk to the manager, because she wasn't sure how the email alerts were supposed to work. She comes back and says that I need to go to the branch where I originially opened the account, maybe they could help me.
At this point I am so frustrated and angry that I burst into tears at her desk, she hands me a tissue and says, "I'll be right back."
She comes back and tells me that she can reverse half of the fees. I can live with that, it's better than nothing. I felt like an idiot for crying in the bank, but all I could think was, "How am I going to make my bike payment now?" Wow, I sure am a tough biker chick. LOL.

BTW...since Joker asked.....my big
TOE!B.B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00598057523770603981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375337914020751846.post-65307264304254064602008-09-08T13:13:00.000-07:002008-09-08T13:13:00.000-07:00Yes, I can see where that'd be damned annoying. B...Yes, I can see where that'd be damned annoying. But, in my experience most banks are pretty good at reversing fees when you have an otherwise good history with them. I'm sure they'll take care of it.

Just one thing though... your big what???"Joker"https://www.blogger.com/profile/00123102968850707085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375337914020751846.post-42092096891145383072008-09-08T05:43:00.000-07:002008-09-08T05:43:00.000-07:00That sucks. Similar case, but TCF was supposed to automatically transfer from savings, to our checking in case of an overdraw to illiminate overdraw fees. This was an advertised perk at tcf at the time for having both accounts with them. They never did trnasfer the funds, and never notified us of the overdraw, and we racked up some serious penalty fees. They would not work with us, or reduce fees or anything, so we switched to W.F.. Maybe grass isn't greener on the other side.

I sure hope they take care of you.Mr. Motorcyclehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00317142329450322815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375337914020751846.post-74059874281959892132008-09-07T05:30:00.000-07:002008-09-07T05:30:00.000-07:00I feel your anger girl. I would pursue getting the charges reversed and clearing your account back to what it's supposed to be. Either that or, convenient or not, they wouldn't be seeing me in that bank again. Sorry your having to deal with it, but hopefully it will turn out in your favor.Lady R (Di)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08253802136989789026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6375337914020751846.post-19829571249124781082008-09-06T15:41:00.000-07:002008-09-06T15:41:00.000-07:00It's Versace Crystal Noir...probably as much as a ...It's Versace Crystal Noir...probably as much as a bike pymt!
